Our characters

So now that we've officially started, I figured I'd get a little questionnaire started about our characters.

1. Raising the dead. I want me some skeletal minions!
2. I guess that he's necromancer that's good? I didn't think this through.
3. He's a wizard that wears armor and wields a battleaxe. That's badass.
4. Breastplate. I haven't looked at magic stuff yet.
5. My goal is to have a couple of melee minions and some archer minions.
6. Either equipping my skeletons with custom gear, or letting me use multiple spells to raise bigger stuff. Like ogre skeletons. Or dragon skeletons!

This is cool.

1. He's actually an amalgam of two characters I created a while ago, so getting to try a somewhat complicated Paladin appeals to me a lot.

2. I like that in a team of magic-users, he's a bit of a tank (even though he's also a healer and a magic user), so he's sort of the inverse of our dwarf necromancer.

3. I think his very different internal and external lives allow for some rich narrative possibilities, mostly for me in terms of portrayal. I'd say that despite the heroic figure he attempts to cut, he's actually kind of a delicate dude.

4. I think it would be great for him to have his eponymous warhorn, maybe given to him during his second visit to his home village. I think it would be fun for it to have some unexpected result if blown in the right (or wrong) time and place.

5. I'd like for him to have to wrestle with some of his weird internal stuff and have it become an asset in the big bad world. I'm really into D&D's ability to create an amazing character arc, so I want that for my dude.

6. The warhorn thing maybe? I don't know, getting to play a good half-orc is as wild as I feel like I need to get.

Oh! New question: What does your character look like? And what are they wearing?

So, my character doesn't look exactly like my avatar. That was just as close as I could get.

He's a dwarf, with pitch black hair and beard, typical dwarf build.

He's got grey eyes and a pale complexion.

As for his clothing...

He's wearing a fine black cloak, with an edge that embroidered with the Coalthane sigaldry, repeated. I might do a sketch of that later.

He's wearing a fine black robe, a chain shirt over it, with a purple tabard cloth over that, and a belt with the Coalthane sigil on it over that.

Okay. I'm tired and need to stop writing because this is horrible. lol

But maybe I'll do a sketch someday.

1) I haven't worked that out yet but maybe finding friends among new faces when she finds it hard to trust anyone.
2) Her fangs. One is chipped from a battle in her youth.
3) She's got a sweet eyebrow ring. Well where her eyebrow would be if she had any.
4) Some kind of sash to tie her robe that's imbued with faint magical energy.
5) Big plans? Maybe being able to cast something similar to a patronus.
6) Multiple spells at once. Constant Abra-ka-fuck-you!

Female dragonborn with copper green scales and bright green eyes. She has a cool eyebrow ring that she got when she was a teenager. Akira wears deep purple robes with gold trim along the bottom hemline. Her robes billow out behind her as she walks. Akira keeps her hood up when in town so as to not draw as much attention to herself. Hanging around her neck is a long silver chain with a X pendant.

She carries a quarterstaff in her right hand that is wreathed in vines at the top. Many of these vines have metallic beads attached. She also wears a light crossbow on her back and two daggers tied to her waist. When she raises her hand you can see the multitude of rings that adorn them.

I'm changing the item I want from a Breastplate to Half-Plate. I didn't realize the disadvantage was on Stealth only.
