| [So unless I blew my maths, the encounter order is Eledriar, Sord, Axel, Akira, Ezythyr, Archie, Thokk, and Daggard. Let me know if I blew my maths so we can adjust. - DM]The two parties exit the House of Angry Pancakes, to a bright and sunny wooded area. The sky is clear, allowing casted shadows from the trees and bushes scattered about. As the Enclave rangers and the party form ranks across from each other, Sord calls out to Thokk. "You, I assume you're the leader? On the count of three, we begin our fight! And you will probably die. But when you do, find solace in the fact that you probably didn't put up much challenge, and we will have gained prestige in the Enclave! One, two... THREE!!!" Click here for the tactical map / layout [I guess the Pyromancers' map tools will be able to track character movement and action on the site; when you move your character and take your actions, you can generate a new link and add it to your action post. | Eledriar cracks her knuckles, then narrows her eyes with a grin, and points directly at Sord. "You wouldn't know a leader if it bit you on the nose," she yells, though there is something unusual, almost eerie, about her voice as it carries across the clearing. "I've seen mongooses that are more intimidating than you! I can already tell this fight is going to be a piece of cake!" OOC: Casting Vicious Mockery Sord needs to roll a wisdom saving throw, I believe my spell save DC is 14. Gonna roll my damage dice just in case he fails? Figure it'll save time that way. Also, if he fails, he gets disadvantage on his next attack as well. | |

Sord receives the harsh-yet-enchanting words of Eledriar, and is strangely affected. He stutters, "I... We are intimidating, I'll have you know... My father would be so proud of me... My mama does love me..."
The other Springwardens look over to Sord, very nervously. "Hey man, get your shit together," Daggard calls out. "We gotta kill these guys and make our bones, stop making us look like chumps!"
The party also easily hears Axel mutter to Archie, "We're never getting into the Enclave with this guy in charge..." | |

| [Taking the lowest of the two rolls, Sord's attack roll is 12. With +6 attack bonus (+3 Strength modifier, +2 Proficiency bonus, +1 enchanted longsword bonus), the total roll of 18 beats Eledriar's AC of 14, but...]
Sord brings the might of his sword down to strike Eledriar in her face, but is halted mid-strike. In the same split-second, the blade is instead brought down to the ground near her feet, cleaving a small dandelion in two. Sord appears befuddled, likely believing to be dealing a deathblow to the half-elf charlatan and instead murdering a helpless flower. Something strange (and possibly magical) might have just occurred, and saved Eledriar's life.
The other three Springwardens are visibly shocked at the outcome of Sord's attack.
