I know of a couple sites that some of you guys might find interesting.

It has a map creator as well as a pretty decent battlemap option for us.

That's how I made my avatar/character portrait. Bonus is that you can also just make a mini out of what you design.

One of my hobbies is making tabletop games and I know of a few resources to make cards. One of those resources is a huge library of icons that are free to use!
